After School Forest Club (Wednesdays)

Forest School is an inspirational process that offers ALL learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self -esteem through hands-on learning experiences in our little forest! Children will be able to explore our forest, led by their own interests or the activites created by our excellent staff team. After a long day at School, what better way for your child to unwind and feel free, being outdoors and at one with nature.

These activities may include;

Campfire: Cooking, story telling, making mint tea, practicing lighting your own little fairy fires using flint & steels.

Shelters: Learning different knots to make shelters, build dens using logs, tarpaulins and any other natural materials they may find.

Tools: Learning to be safe and responsible when using tools in the forest, this may include whittling a stick to make arrows, wands etc. Using a bow saw to make wooden cookies, firewood etc. A billhook to split wood to make kindling for the fire.

Arts & Crafts: They can let their creativity unleash in a number of ways, whether that be mud pies, mud sculptures, paintings, collage. The list is endless!
